Greenwaters Park 9/4/26

A satisfying morning

After clearing the one little clump of trees at Salmon Creek Park, I was ready for a slightly more formidable challenge. Greenwaters Park provides plenty! Ivy abounds on both sides of the short path leading to the foot bridge. The ivy on the right (West) side of the path is less mature and allowed me to liberate more than a dozen trees in pretty short order. The left (East) side is a different story. One poor maple is covered head to toe with ivy that is setting up flower buds. I severed everything at the base; we’ll see if we got there early enough to prevent it from going to seed.
